On May 15, 2024, as part of the EDUCATION SYSTEM CHANGE WITH EU-ACCESSION (EdAccession) project, Dr. Olena Churikanova, the project coordinator from Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg (TU BAF), met with the deans of various faculties from Universitatea Tehnică a Moldovei (TUM). The meeting was organized with the support of Dr. Larisa Bugaian, vice-rector of TUM. 

The meeting brought together deans from the following faculties: 

• Faculty of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering and Transport 

• Faculty of Computers, Informatics, and Microelectronics 

• Faculty of Engineering and Management in Electronics and Telecommunications 

• Faculty of Energy and Electrical Engineering 

• Faculty of Engineering and Management in Machine Building 

• Faculty of Architecture and Urban Planning 

• Faculty of Textiles and Polygraphy 

• Faculty of Technology and Management in the Food Industry 

• Faculty of Cadastre, Geodesy, and Construction 

The discussion focused on the upcoming workshop program, which aims to provide students with opportunities to: 

✅ Gain virtual insights into EU universities 

✅ Identify their expectations, aspirations, and concerns 

✅ Explore current and future cooperation and support possibilities 

✅ Incorporate digital tools into student mobility experiences 

✅ Address brain drain challenges in national education systems 

✅ Enhance digital skills and media literacy The EdAccession project is dedicated to empowering Ukrainian and Moldovan students by providing them with a platform to voice their interests and actively engage in the European academic sphere. Through collaboration with EU institutions, the project seeks to bridge educational gaps, promote student mobility, and enhance cross-border cooperation in higher education.
